1986 TRANSIT OPERATING REPORT
This publication is a portrait of the American Public Transit industry which contains all revenues, expenses and statistical information of bus and rail systems which constitutes more than two-thirds of the data requests to APTA Statistics Department presented in two sections. Section A contains ten comprehensive national tables summarizing important information such as the average fare recovery ratios; the significance of federal, state and local financial assistance; the percentages of labor expense vs. expenses in fuels, utilities, and other categories. Section B contains information even more valuable to transportation planners and researchers. It lists some 200 data items in finance and operation for each of more than 200 transit systems in the United States and Canada.
