REPORT ON THE DIRECTION SIGNS REVIEW

This report reviews the present system of directional traffic signs on all types of road. It also considers: a) whether additional information or changes in existing information, which would be useful to road users, could be provided by the directional signing system without having any adverse effects; and b) whether the presentation of information on directional signs could be improved to make signing systems more efficient. Sixteen recommendations are made. (TRRL)
