INTRODUCTION TO THE THEORY OF TRAFFIC FLOW
This textbook is the extended and totally revised version of "Einfuerung in die Theorie des Verkehrsflusses", Springer-Verlag 1972. It describes the theoretical background necessary for an understanding of the methods by which links in a road network are designed and structured, or by which traffic is controlled. The methods themselves are not dealt with. The book describes traffic flow on links between junctions and not at the junctions themselves. Separate chapters are provided on the movement of a single vehicle and movement of several vehicles concurrently. (TRRL)
