CONTINUOUS REINFORCED CONCRETE SURFACINGS IN THE USA - CONSIDERATIONS TO THE APPLICATION OF THE TECHNIQUE IN BELGIUM - VOLUME 3 MISSION REPORT
LES REVETEMENTS EN BETON ARME CONTINU AUX ETATS UNIS - CONSIDERATIONS RELATIVES A L[APPLICATION A LA BELGIQUE - FASCICULE 3 RAPPORT DE MISSION
This reports describes the adaptation of the technique used in the USA to local conditions in Belgium (single axle of 13 tonnes in Belgium against 8 tonnes in the USA? rigid concrete instead of air-entrained concrete? numerous engineering structures). Details are given of experimental sections in Belgium which are compared with roads in the USA. From the point of view of pavement design, the guidelines of the AASHO tests are adapted to Belgian parameters. A special study is made of the reinforcement and its placing. ;TRRL;
