LES REVETEMENTS EN BETON ARME CONTINU AUX ETATS UNIS, RAPPORT DE MISSION, FASCICULE 1 - SYNTHESE, FASCICULE 2 - ANNEXES ET FIGUES

This report describes the object of the mission and give details of the U'S'A' road network and continuous reinforced concrete roads collected during the journey of the members of the mission. Replies to the questonnaire are summarized and a description is given of the design and construction of surfacings, their behaviour, economic aspects, maintenance, repari and tests. Mention is made of the continuously reinforced concrete roads opened to traffic in the U'S'A' at 711I the end of 1966, of the interstate road network, federal financing of motorway construction. The design of foundations and subgrades in the Mississippi state is discussed together with the grading envelopes selected (coarse and fine aggreages), the properties of the concrete, and the impregnation of the latter with linseed oil. Finally the steel used in the surfacings is mentioned. ;TRRL;
