VALORIZACIJA OCJENE ZDRAVSTVENE SPOSOBNOSTI VOZACA U DRUGOM STUPNJU U HRVATSKOJ

The paper deals with evaluation of the medical status of applicants for driving license and licensed drivers at a secondary commission level in Croatia with reference to those applicants who expressed their dissatisfaction with respective medical status qualification in a regular commission procedure during 1983. The sample cases included 163 applicants for driving licence and licensed drivers who exercised their right to appeal to a higher commission for reevaluation of their medical status. Cases were examined by place where the first evaluation by a regular medical commission had been completed, age, sex, non-professional or professional driver status, causes of disability or reduced ability, and reasons for evaluation made at a regular level in accordance with the procedure on medical requirements to be fulfilled by drivers of motor vehicles. Further, certain suggestions and opinions were expressed regarding the necessity of future work on the improvement of the procedure for evaluating the medical ability of drivers at a regular and secondary levels.
