POLYEPOXYETHER MIXTURES AND HIGH MECHANICAL STRENGTH BITUMEN. MANUFACTURING PROCESS

COMPOSITION POLYEPOXYETHERS ET BITUME A HAUTE RESISTANCE MECANIQUE ET PROCEDE POUR SA FABRICATION

This patent concerns a new mixture containing polypoxyether bitumen and an accelerator, its manufacturing process and its uses in sealing operations or in road construction. This invention enables the compatibility threshold to be raised between the bitumen and the reactive polyepoxyether mixture and therefore the overall cost to be reduced; it also markedly improves the mechanical properties of the mixture after hardening. The bitumen used is a road construction bitumen containing asphaltene coated with maltene having A penetration index between 20 and 300. The polyepoxyether is obtained from the reaction of a diepoxy compound on A polyol. /TRRL/
