PUBLIC LIGHTING: FOR WHAT IS IT PROVIDED?
OPENBARE VERLICHTING: WAAR DOEN WE HET VOOR?
By means of an overview of functional demands which should be made of public lighting, the author shows what can be accomplished by means of modern lamps and armatures, which are important also in a time of energy conservation. The starting point for this study was research regarding the visual perception of the road user in traffic. It is even stated that an absence of public lighting is better than bad public lighting.
