FUEL ECONOMY AND PERFORMANCE - EFFECTS ON POWER TRANSMISSION. PAPER C13/84
Fuel economy and road performance inevitably represent a conflict in terms. To help solve this conflict, the paper describes methods for optimizing vehicle transmission ratios. In the context of automatic transmissions, particular attention is given to the converter lock-up clutch and the very exact determination of gear-shift lines.
