WEDGE ANALYSIS OF EMBANKMENT INSTABILITY DURING CONSTRUCTION OF THE M25 MOTORWAY
This technical note considers the mode of failure of embankments associated with overconsolidated clay soils. A simple stability analysis is used to demonstrate that wedge failure can be more critical than circular failure. For the covering abstract of hte symposium see IRRD 286603. (Author/TRRL)
