MUNICIPAL TRAFFIC SAFETY PLAN IN ZOETERWOUDE
GEMEENTELIJK VERKEERSVEILIGHEIDSPLAN ZOETERWOUDE
Traffic safety in the municipality of Zoeterwoude was studied to identify situations where remedial measures were needed. A calculation method was developed in order to allocate priorities. In addition to the approach to infrastructural problems, at a later stage the need was felt for coherent attention for the user of the road and this means of transport. This led to a 'man -vehicle -road' approach, operationalized in a working programme on an integral municipal traffic safety plan. The goal is the realization of an action plan with practical points which the municipality can undertake or can stimulate concerning the area of traffic safety.
