NO FURTHER HINDRANCE TO THE APPLICATION OF THE RENOFALT PROCESS
GEEN BELEMMERINGEN MEER VOOR TOEPASSING RENOFALTPROCEDE
The article gives an account of the experiences with the recycling of asphaltic concrete according to the Renofalt-process and describes the aspects which need further investigation, namely, the size of the broken asphalt for the steam process, the attachment of mortar parts on the inner wall of the drying and heating drum, the dosage of the rejuvenator in the mixer, the execution of the preliminary investigation with steamed asphalt, the energy consumption of the installation, the realisation of a sufficient low degree of filling, the long-term behaviour of the asphaltic concrete and the application of nuclear apparatus for the determination of the bitumen content. The future developments are indicated. See also IRRD 271702 and IRRD 271703. (TRRL)
