METHOD FOR MICROSCOPIC OBSERVATION OF CORROSION LAYERS ON CONCRETE AND MORTAR
For a study of the growth of corrosive layers on concrete and mortar by thin section microscopy a method has been developed allowing the measurement of the original thickness of corroded layers of mortar in the aqueous liquid. The method is based on the use of plaster of Paris as an embedding material. A detailed description of the procedure is followed by examples of results. (Author/TRRL)
