GROUND MOVEMENTS AND PIPE STRAINS ASSOCIATED WITH TRENCHES FOR DEEP SEWER CONSTRUCTION
The paper describes field experiments carried out by the Water Research Centre to provide data on trenching at a wide range of sewer construction sites. For trench construction, equations and charts based on the field trials are presented which allow approximate predictions of ground movements and associated pipe strains to be made. (Author/TRRL)
