SURFACE DRESSINGS - EVALUATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF EQUIPMENT
ENDUITS SUPERFICIELS - EVALUATION ET EVOLUTION DES MATERIELS
This paper presents the methods used in France and the methods obtained with: (1) binder spreaders for surface dressings, the design of which after 10 years of continuous development seems to have reached an optimum state, at least as regards traditional dressing techniques; (2) gritters, on which much work remains to be done. A test bench has recently been developed at the Station d'Essais de Materiels Routiers (Road Equipment Testing Station) in Blois to assist in their development. (TRRL)
