TORT CLAIMS INVOLVING ROADSIDE SAFETY

This Circular presents the proceedings of a workshop sponsored by the TRB Committee on Safety Appurtenances. The papers presented at the workshop as well as summaries of working group discussions are included. The agenda for the meeting included overviews of the problem, summaries of the problem areas in planning, design, and construction, and summaries of problem areas in operations and maintenance. Workshop sessions relating to two main topics are also included: planning, design and construction; and operations and maintenance. Two appendixes are included: Appendix A, Follow-up Survey Problem Summaries; and Appendix B, List of Attendees.
