THE REBUILDING OF THE S-BAHN VEHICLES BERLIN, CLASS 275
The e.m.u. of the S-Bahn Berlin (West) taken over by the BVG at the change of operation competence had to be generally overhauled under considerable pressure of time and costs. The works were distributed on workshops of the BVG and on relevant firms, at which the necessary drawings of the electric equipment had to be made first of all. In the meantime more than 50 two-piece units are already fit up and working. Some trains which didn't allow one man operation are being rebuilt correspondingly, giving the trailer also a drivers cabin with regard to utilization during peak-off times.
