THE LAW FOR MOTORISTS
Most people are hazy about the law for motorists, although at any time on any journey they may find themselves face to face with some aspect of it. The purpose of this book is to enable the motorist to find out how the law affects him. Initially the framework of the law is described. The Road Traffic Act 1960 replaced most of the earlier acts and since then, although many acts have affected the motorist and added new rules, this act has not been replaced. One way in which the law seeks to protect road users is by allowing only suitable men and women to drive. The law, as it relates to the driving licence is explained. Other sections deal with the laws relating to car purchase and maintenance, insurance, driving and parking, accidents and procedure in court. /TRRL/
