HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL. REVIEW OF THE CONTROL OF POLLUTION (SPECIAL WASTE) REGULATIONS 1980. HOUSE OF LORDS SELECT COMMITTEE ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, SESSION 1984-85, 6TH REPORT

The control of pollution (special waste) regulations 1980 have been reviewed by a joint review committee, composed of government, local authority and industry representatives. The select committee offer their views on a number of questions contained in the regulations. This report identifies four areas in which decisions have to be taken. They are: 1) changes to the special waste regulations; 2) other legislative changes; 3) provision of information for waste disposal authorities; 4) controls over the handlers of waste. (TRRL)
