PROFILE OF TODAY'S TRANSPORT USER
The paper presents a profile of today's transportation user. The author dates today's user back to 1980 when two major legislative acts - the Motor Carrier Act and the Stagger's Rail Act - became law. He shows the progression of the traffic manager from a quasi-legal professional, alienated from the rest of the corporation, to a creative manager who can make a maximum contribution to efficiency and corporate profit.
