SYNOPSIS OF THE NEW ORLEANS ON-STREET PARKING MANAGEMENT PROGRAM EVALUATION REPORT

The article is based on an evaluation report on the City of New Orleans on-street parking program. The report was commissioned by the Federal Highway Administration and the Urban Mass Transportation Administration through the Comprehensive Transportation System Management Assistance Program. The evaluation was a requirement of the on-street parking program implementation contract, which began in October 1982. The purpose of the study was to evaluate various components of the newly created Parking Management Division within the New Orleans Department of Streets. (Edited author abstract)
