NATURAL GAS: THE VITAL ENERGY SECURITY LINK
The wider use of natural gas can offset America's oil import dependence. Gas supplies are abundant, constituting one of America's most available energy alternatives. Natural gas is characterized by a high interchangability with oil in most applications, and as a consequence, the substitution of it for imports requires little modification of existing facilities.
