REDUCTION METHOD OF HIGH HARMONIC CURRENT ON THYRISTOR PHASE CONTROL FOR AC ELECTRIC ROLLING STOCK
In order to adopt a thyristor phase controlled rectifier system for Shinkansen EMU cars it was necessary to reduce the equivalent disturbing current to less than or the same as that of a diode rectifier system. Therefore, the authors made a model simulator and investigated a method of reducing high harmonic current for thyristor phase-controlled electric rolling stock. In this paper, the experimental results from the model simulator and actual running tests on the Shinkansen line are described. (Edited author abstract)
