HIGHWAY CROSSING: RUGGED SURFACE AND "SIGN"
Tri-Met of Portland, OR, has recently installed 6200 linear feet of high-density polyethylene modules as grade crossing surfaces. The 15-mile double-track light rail line nearing completion has crossing varying in length from 60 to 90 ft and required panels for 25 highway and 34 pedestrian sites. The Cobra-X panels are light enough for two-man installation; modular designs are adaptable for curved track.
