FUEL CELLS: AN UPDATE

A review is given of worldwide developments in fuel cell R and D since 1983. Recent technical progress, current problems, present industrial and commercial activities and the perceived range of applications for fuel cells are discussed. Seven types of fuel cells are reviewed and the prospects for UK involvement in fuel cell R and D are analyzed.
