WINDSOR-EAST BERKSHIRE TRAFFIC STUDY 1972/73. PART 1
The first objective of the studies described was to examine existing and predict future traffic demands in the Windsor area. A secondary objective was to ascertain the effects on this traffic of the completion of the regional motorway network around the area, and thus to determine the extent of residual traffic demand. Thirdly an examination was made of the effect of this residual traffic on the existing highway network, to discover likely areas of congestion and to evaluate the effectiveness of various strategies in overcoming anticipated problems. Part 1 summarizes the work undertaken and presents results and conclusions reached. See also IRRD abstract no.211988. /TRRL/
