ORE. QUESTION C 163. BRUITS DANS LE DOMAINE FERROVIAIRE. RAPPORT NO. 7: BRUIT DE CONTACT ROUE/RAIL--ETUDE COMPARATIVE ENTRE MODELE THEORIQUE ET RESULTATS MESURES

The results of an experiment which included measurement of wheel and rail roughness, wheel and rail vibration and total noise have been analysed in a manner which allows comparison with a model for rolling noise generation suggested by REMINGTON. In particular the ratios of vibration/noise and roughness/vibration have been investigated to determine whether they are independent of roughness condition and train speed as is suggested by the model.
