RESEARCH REVIEW. VOLUME III. THE IMPLEMENTATION STATUS OF THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH PROJECTS

This report which is the final part of a series, summarizes over 115 research projects which have been sponsored by the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation. The research projects are reported in the following major areas: bridges; ice control; materials - (asphalt concrete); materials - (aggregates); materials - (bituminous related); materials - (concrete related); materials - (portland cement and portland cement admixtures); materials - (soil); materials - (steel, rebars, etc.); pavements - (general); pavements - (flexible); pavements - (portland concrete cement); safety studies; stabilization of soils and bases; surface treatment and crack seal or reflectance; traffic paint, markers, and paint surface coatings; utilities; and miscellaneous. The projects cover a wide variety of subjects including surface treatment, pavement design and evaluation, materials evaluation and roadside turf establishment. Each project is reviewed, and a statement is made of how each has been implemented. Some recommendations are made regarding further implementation.
