The paper deals with the accidents in Espoo in 1984 reported to the police. The total number of accidents, 851 in 1984, has continuously grown from the year 1976. But the number of fatal accidents has decreased from 20 persons in the 60's to the present 4. The number of accidents in pedestrian and cycle traffic has increased since the 70's. (TRRL)
