MOT/C&CA STANDARD BRIDGE BEAMS. PRESTRESSED INVERTED T BEAMS FOR SPANS FROM 15M TO 29M
The beams described and detailed in this booklet have been produced for effective spans from 15 to 29m. They have been designed as precast pretensioned units for use in composite voided slab (pseudo box) and contiguous inverted T-Beam and slab (T-Beam) construction. In general they will require the use of deflected or debonded tendons for the longer spans, and may be either straight or deflected for the shorter spans, depending upon which gives greater economy in use. Full details of the sections are given, and design calculations are presented for a typical bridge deck. (TRRL)
