DEVELOPMENT IN SPATIAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS AT THE NATIONAL PHYSICAL PLANNING AGENCY

ONTWIKKELINGEN IN RUIMTELIJKE INFORMATIESYSTEMEN BIJ DE RIJKSPLANOLOGISCHE DIENST

The National Physical Planning Agency (RPD) uses three basic information processing systems for: processing of municipal data (RUDAP); the cartographic presentation of elements relevant to physical planning (BARS/AKTS); and the spatial referencing and processing of address based data (GBR). Each of these systems is discussed. Subsequently the future developments that aim at integration of these systems are discussed. Simultaneously the use of the information systems will be decentralised. For the covering abstract of the conference see TRIS 453956. (Author/TRRL)
