WIDESPREAD ADVANCES EASE CONCRETE PROBLEMS
Getting concrete from the batching plant to the formwork often means overcoming major technical problems. This report looks at advances in mobile mixing, pumps and placing booms, and admixtures, intended to make the job easier. Few construction technologies are changing as fast as concrete handling. Equipment suppliers are constantly upgrading the capabilities and reliability of the mechanical plant used for moving the heavy, abrasive, and demanding material from batching plant to formwork. And at the same time, admixture manufacturers are brewing new patent remedies that drastically change its handling properties.
