WHAT IS THE PRESENT STATE-OF-THE-ART TREATMENT AND PRESERVATION OF THE MANY CABLES USED ON SUSPENSION BRIDGES?
This article addresses the question of what is the state of the art treatment and preservation of the many cables used on suspension bridges. Answers are provided by four experts on this topic, based on their experience in dealing with problem. Three of the experts used protective coatings over galvanized steel. The fourth person used encapsulation with a proprietary petrolatum paste.
