LOW-FLOOR CARRYING BOGIE FOR LIGHT RAIL VEHICLES

The author describes the circumstances which led researchers in countries with advanced technology to develop a light rail vehicle of a new type with a floor at normal platform height to avoid having to build steps. He then describes the carrying bogie developed and built for use with these low-floor vehicles by the La Stanga workshops, as part of the Finalised Transport Project on new types of vehicles for light rail transport systems.
