ANTICORROSION PROTECTION AND CONTROL OF CONCRETE SUPPORTS BODY OF A RAIL COACH
With the growth of railway electrification on Soviet Railways since 1956, concrete supports for the poles and posts for the rigid cross-bars have been widely used. The article deals with the problem of electrocorrosion of concrete supports and foundations of the 3 kV overhead catenary system. Evaluation of the degree of electrocorrosion damage to wire reinforcement and ways of protection are shown. Major developments to decrease the degree of damage to the wire reinforcement of supports and foundations are described.
