NEW METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING INTERFERENCE CAUSED BY THE TRACTION CURRENT OF ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVES IN AUTOMATIC BLOCK SYSTEMS WITH CODED CURRENTS
NUOVO METODO PER L'IDENTIFICAZIONE DI INTERFERENZE DOVUTE ALLA CORRENTE DI TRAZIONE DEI LOCOMOTORI NEI SISTEMI DI BLOCCO AUTOMATICO A CORRENTI CODIFICATE
The authors analyse the interference that can be generated in automatic block railway installations used to safeguard train running. They describe potentially dangerous situations caused by the presence of electrical dissymmetry of the rails and harmonic components of the traction current. This risk has become greater because of the recent adoption of chopper commands. With a view to detecting such situations, they propose a method for identifying the unbalanced components of the traction current.
