SCHOOL DISTRICT REPORTS SUCCESS WITH PROPANE FOR BUSES
When the Petal Municipal Separate School District in Mississippi began its propane conversion program in 1982, the district borrowed $46,000 to purchase a new truck and two buses and the finance the conversion of the new truck and 10 of its 24 buses. After only two years, the savings on fuel and maintenance costs resulting from the program have enabled Petal Separate to completely pay off its loan - a remarkable testimonial that demonstrates the real-world advantages of propane fuel usage.
