MECHANISM OF CREEP OF CONCRETE
The "classical" creep theories, particularly those involving viscous flow and seepage, are reviewed. The modified seepage theory, not involving a movement of moisture from the concrete into the ambient medium, is then discussed, and a combination of seepage and viscous flow is shown to be a likely mechanism of creep. Limitations of this approach are mentioned. (A)
