STRUCTURAL RESTRAINT PROVIDED BY EMBEDDED PILES
A simple technique is developed to enable a structural engineer with access to a normal structural analysis computer program to model adequately the lateral restraint applied to a structure by independent piles embedded in an elastic medium. For several frequently used assumptions on soil behaviour, charts are presented to assist in the modelling. (Author/TRRL)
