LOW-FLOOR CARRYING BOGIE FOR LIGHT RAIL VEHICLES

A review is made of the considerations orientating the research of the countries of advanced technological level on a light rail vehicle which has the floor level at a height comparable with that of normal pavements, thus eliminating the necessity for access steps. A description is then given of the carrying bogie suitable to allow the low level of the floor, studies and built by the Stanga Engineering Works within the framework of the "Progetto Finalizzato Trasporti--sub-project No.3--Theme "Innovative vehicle for light rail transport systems".
