CONTINUOUSLY REINFORCED CONCRETE PAVEMENTS (DISCUSSION)
Following a previous paper, the article presents a brief discussion on a number of aspects concerning the construction and durability of continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) in the United Kingdom. The discussion includes such aspects as the performance and crack spacing of CRCP, the corrosion of steel reinforcement, its use on motorways and airfield runways, and the effects of construction quality and workmanship on durability. For details of the previous paper see IRRD 276387 (TRIS 388940). (TRRL)
