ACCIDENTS AND ATTEMPTS TO PREVENT THEM AND TO MITIGATE THEM WHEN THEY OCCUR
A review of the history of traffic safety points out that the story is a matter of measures undertaken during probably more than 6,000 years and that it is a multidisciplinary subject area involving technicians, pedagogues, sociologists, the medical profession, etc. Traffic causes so many injuries and is so highly ranked on the list of causes of death that it is necessary to train experts in traffic safety. The resources for their training based on scientific findings are to be found by means of using funds and human skill which today are being used for the production of printed matter.
