BENDING BEHAVIOR OF UNBONDED PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BEAMS
Unbounded prestressed concrete beams with the steel surface coated with asphalt or epoxy resin and conventional beams with grouting provided between prestress steel and concrete were submitted to static and dynamic bending tests. Through comparison of the test results with the theoretical calculations, phenomena in and safety of unbonded prestressed concrete beams have been revealed and confirmed, giving good prospects of their practical application.
