APPRAISAL OF THE O/D MATRIX OF THE MOVEMENT ON PART OF AN URBAN ROAD NETWORK: A CASE STUDY

LA STIMA DELLA MATRICE O/D DEGLI SPOSTAMENTI SU UNA PARTE DI RETE VIARIA URBANA: UN CASO DI STUDIO

Recent progress in origin destination matrix development has led to the use of estimators which make explicit and statistically efficient use of the various sources of information available, whether resulting from the survey itself or from prior knowledge of the matrix structure. This paper examines a matrix estimator for a case in which partial sample information is available, and the estimator is applied to the study of the road network of the Poggioreale quarter in Naples.
