USE OF AGGREGATES MANUFACTURED BY CRUSHING OF CONCRETE DEMOLITION DEBRIS IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION
UTILISATION EN TECHNIQUE ROUTIERE DE GRANULATS PROVENANT DU CONCASSAGE DE BETON DE DEMOLITION
Recycled concrete was used in France during and after the Second World War for building construction. Use of recycled concrete as an aggregate for new concrete in road construction was initiated in France in 1976 as an experimental project. The paper discusses results of the research work and early experience with experimental road sections near Paris. The economics of this type of road construction is also considered and it shows the Paris region is favorable.
