A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR OPTIMIZATION OF LNG TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (REPORT 1)
TRANSAP-LNG consists of four main program packages designed for the following purposes: (1) Optimization of a total system; (2) Evaluation of the total system of a given system model; (3) Analysis of sea transportation system including end facilities; and (4) Optimization of LNG tankers. This paper describes the outline of TRANSP-LNG and the contents of the contents of the program packages (1) and (2) mentioned above. As an example a preliminary optimization study was made on LNG transportation to Japan under some assumptions, and the computed results are presented. Part 2 of this paper describes the contents of the program packages (3) and (4) and other computed results.
