CONSEQUENCES OF SEVERE MODIFICATIONS IN A PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM
GEVOLGEN VAN INGRIJPENDE VERANDERINGEN IN EEN OPENBAAR VERVOERSYSTEEM
The consequences of radical changes in the public transport system can be measured beforehand with the aid of the computer. The big advantage is that changes in the level of service and their consequences can be evaluated before they are introduced. Alternatives can be weighed against each other. On the basis of experiences obtained, it can be concluded that computer simulation is a valuable instrument in the preparation of network changes in public transport. The computer program is written in Modulair Pascal and an example of its application is presented. (TRRL)
