NUCLEAR POWERED OCEAN CARRIERS - ENGINEERING STATUS AND ECONOMICS
Discusses the different nuclear systems currently available and will describe the nuclear system selected by the Maritime Administration for development in the United States and status of the MARAD program. The major problem areas confronting commercial nuclear marine application will be presented together with an economic analysis of comparable fossil and nuclear powered super ocean carriers.
