SPINAL CORD INJURIES AND SEAT BELTS
There has been a decline in the number of spinal cord injuries resulting from motor-car accidents since the introduction of compulsory wearing of seat belts at the time of the accident is associated with a decrease in the relative number of paraplegics compared to tetraplegics, and a decrease in the severity of neurological injury in all patients. This trend is more obvious in the city than in the country. /Author/
