1984 ANNUAL REPORT OF FATAL AND INJURY MOTOR VEHICLE TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

Motor vehicle traffic accident reports received from local police and sheriff jurisdictions and from California Highway Patrol field offices are reported. Property damage only (PDO) accidents are also reported although PDOs are indicators of the volume of accident occurences and are not exact statistics. Tabulated statistics are presented in 8 sections: Ten year summaries, 1975-1984; Time (date, day, hour, month, etc.); Drivers and vehicles; Victims; Alcohol involved accidents; Truck involved accidents; Short subjects (moped accidents, hit and run, etc.); and Location (city, county, road classification). Certain terms used are defined and an index is included.
